News from this week: the ISIS Board has unanimously approved in principle the new plan to finish ZIMS with the US $4.3 million ISIS has recently received. The new ZIMS plan was arrived at through months of intensive evaluation of the current state of ZIMS, conducted by ISIS staff, user/leaders from the zoological community, and external IT expert consultants. The Board added into the plan an assessment (and likely reinforcement) of ISIS' staff capacity to directly manage this very large project while also sustaining current membership services. The highlights of the new ZIMS plan will be released soon. We will keep you informed of every significant development as we bring this important project to completion.
